A trip to see an old friend!

Here I am with Jack's mom Nancy. We had a great dinner and a few beers. :-) Like always, she had a few chores that needed to be addressed! Although I got a little dirty, I was glad to help. I am happy to say that once again I not only beat Jack to see his mom's first house in Florida, I got to meet her new man Charles first.

St. Petersburg Florida

Hello all,
First I want to let you know I got this personal tracking device so that when I push this button it will send a message telling you where I am. I'm also going to have it on a lot while I am sailing so if I sink, you will know where to find me! So here is my game plan for all of you who don't know. We are not going to sail for as long as I had planned. We set sail on Sat the 24Th and we are making a direct run to Corpus Christi. It is about 800 miles and it is going to take a week straight of sailing. I am thankful to say that Dan and Glenna were nice enough to buy me a plane ticket to Belize on June 4Th. I am adding a link so that you should be able to click on it and see exactly where I am on Google maps. The Link is located in the upper right hand corner on this screen and will keep current with my location.
Cheers,
Lucas

Austin TX

Well, it looks like another week has passed and I could say that Austin is really about as good as Texas gets! Plenty of cute girls, lots of fun spots to go to, and staying with Glenna and Dan has been a real treat! I can't tell you how hospitable they have been and let me borrow one of their Mercedes to get around in. They have also paid for every meal since I have arrived! (THANK YOU) To return the favor I have actually worked a few days helping them with a few projects, but I was glad to do it! While driving one day there was a flood in the road and Glenna asked me to drive through the water! I simply said there was no way I'm going to drive a $100K S550 through water I have no clue how deep it was. Before I knew it she gets out and decided to see how deep it was! Next thing I knew she slipped and fell in! :-) :-) With the water only 12-15" deep she told me to drive through it! So...........Here is a picture of me not only driving the most expensive car I have ever drove, but also through a river!

Amarillo

Well I have spent nearly 2 weeks here in Amarillo. I have been hiking, golfing, and mostly relaxing here so far. On one hiking trip that was less then 2 miles I ran into 3 Rattlesnakes and barely avoided getting bit by one of them. After he met my friend Mr. Rock he thought twice about biting at me again :-)!! On Saturday May 10Th I am flying to Austin to meet up with Dan Hodge (Sailboat Guy). I should be in Austin for a few days and then we are off to Florida. Although I left home April 28Th I consider my first day of my trip May 10Th for all you betting on how long I am gone. It was good to spend some time with the other side of my family, but I am excited to head into the unknown! I would like to say I have some better pic's that I could find of Amarillo but.............This is Amarillo!

A little trip to Dallas TX

Since I was here in Amarillo and had a little time to burn we decided to take a little road trip to Dallas to hit a baseball game! While we were there we saw that they are building a new stadium for the Dallas Cowboys. Since I work on construction sites I found this to be pretty awesome. As for the baseball game it was the Rangers vs. Royals and the Rangers won 2-1. Although the game was severely boring it was fun to be in a different stadium.
