The camino to the coast was unexpectedly B E A utiful. I was a little surprised at the cost of the toll to drive on the highway between Leon and Gijón. After paying nearly $20, we realized it might have been quite costly to dig out the endless amounts of tunnels we drove through to get there. Thankfully, our jeep renegade reminded us that we were breaking the speed limit every 45 seconds with a lovely little beeping sound. It is my personal recommendation to never buy one of these. Gijón was very beautiful as the mountains run right into the coast. It was a wonderful day drinking bebidas while catching up on life. Tomorrow morning, we’re off across the coast of northern Spain to San Sebastián.

Leon was a 3 star accommodation. Gijón was 4 estrellas. Based on the cost for our evening in San Sebastian, we’re shooting for five here folks.
