It was raining in Gijón the morning we were leaving. Our journey took us east to San Sebastián along the northern coast. The drive was stunning to include an endless amount of tunnels along the way. The accommodations in San Sebastián were the nicest so far with a rooftop pool that overlooked the whole of the city. Since this is my vacation away from my vacation, we decided to treat ourselves to a Michelin star rated restaurant. Between basking in the sun, going to the spa, eating the best food we could find, we really made the most of our time here at this stop. Tomorrow morning we will get up and head to Madrid to see the interior parts of the countryside.
San Sebastián is considered to be the culinary capital of Europe.
